Four-time champions Thailand begin the defence of their Suzuki Cup title today against Indonesia in Group A at Philippines Sports Stadium. In today's other match, Group A hosts, the Philippines, take on Singapore. The top two teams of each group reach the semi-finals which will be played on a home-and-away basis from Dec 3-8. Bachdim was forced to pull out of the team two days before the Suzuki Cup begins and Riedl has called up Ferinando Pahabol as his replacement.
